Start with a few clear beats
Choose an instrument and room type in Setup. Tap Start listening. Before free monitoring, read the device-verification disclosure and choose whether to allow it. Microphone permission is separate: audio is analyzed on your device, not uploaded. Give the detector a few clear beats to settle. Set a target or tap your intended tempo when a rhythm has more than one plausible pulse.
Free time, verification, and privacy
How do the ten free minutes work?
They are ten minutes total per eligible device, shared across sessions—not a fresh allowance each session or month. Internet and platform verification are required. Time is reserved in 30-second blocks; stopping mid-block can consume its unused portion.
Can I decline or pause verification?
Yes. Select Not now on the disclosure before starting, or Setup → Pause free verification after allowing it. Permission applies only to the current app launch. Pausing stops and saves free monitoring and prevents new trial requests; a request already sent may finish. Saved sessions, settings, and practice tools remain available. A verified paid unlock does not require this free-verification permission; separate store and entitlement checks still apply.
Why didn’t reinstalling restore my free time?
Reinstalling does not create a new allowance. Losing the original installation identity may make unused promotional time inaccessible. Used time is not refunded by restarting or changing the clock. A paid Apple purchase can be restored with the original App Store account.
Why can’t the app verify my device?
Check your connection, use a supported installation, and retry. Simulators, modified apps, some older devices, and unsupported installation sources may not qualify. Android verification requires a Play-recognized release and supported device checks; sideloaded debug builds do not establish eligibility. Do not disable device security. Contact support with the reference in Setup if the issue persists.
Purchases and refunds
Is this a subscription?
No. Longer Sessions on iPhone and iPad is a one-time App Store purchase that unlocks monitoring beyond the free allowance. Apple shows your local price before confirmation. Android paid billing is not yet available, and Apple purchases do not transfer to Android.
How do I restore a purchase?
On iPhone or iPad, open Setup → Restore purchases, or select Restore purchases in the upgrade dialog. Use the same App Store account that made the purchase. Restoration transfers the unlock between eligible Apple devices, not your local session history. Refunded or revoked purchases may no longer unlock monitoring.
How do I request an Apple refund?
Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. Follow Apple’s refund instructions. If the app cannot recognize a valid purchase, contact us; do not email payment-card information.
How will Android purchases work?
The Android store release is still in preparation. It will use a one-time Google Play purchase, not a subscription. Restore purchases in Setup uses the same Google Play account. Our service verifies the purchase with Google; an internet connection is required at launch and for periodic checks, with at most five minutes of cached authorization in a running app. A pending purchase does not unlock monitoring. If Google confirms payment but access is not recognized, connect and use Restore purchases rather than buying again, then contact support with the purchase support reference. Google handles refund requests through Google Play’s refund process. Apple purchases do not transfer to Android.
Microphone and saved sessions
What happens when audio is interrupted?
Listening stops rather than restarting unexpectedly. The captured statistics are saved. Return to the app, check the input, and start again when ready. Monitoring is foreground-only and does not continue behind a locked screen.
My microphone won’t start.
Enable microphone permission in system settings. Check external input devices, return to the app, and retry. Free monitoring must also have a valid online authorization. For tempo estimates at half or double your intended pulse, choose the right instrument profile and tap a tempo or use a target.
How do I preserve or delete my history?
Open Sessions to export summary statistics as CSV or delete a session after confirming. The app saves statistics, not audio, and does not provide cloud session sync. If a save fails, keep the app open and use Retry save or export available statistics before clearing data. Clearing app data or uninstalling may remove the local library; an unexpected force-quit can lose the most recent few seconds.
Privacy and data requests
Privacy policy, terms, support, and the data-request link are always available in Setup, including after purchase. To request access, correction, or deletion of server-held information, email info@cybrcoast.com with your platform and support reference from Setup → Privacy and support, if available. If you cannot find a reference, contact us for help.
No Just BPM account is created, so there is no account to delete. Local session deletion is separate from a server-data request. Necessary trial eligibility or fraud-prevention records may be retained where permitted; we explain any exception when responding. See the privacy policy’s request and retention details.
Availability
iPhone and iPad are the first App Store release. Android is in development. Only verified public release links will appear on the home page. Features and store availability may differ by platform.
